Authentication of the power of attorney

Notary functions abroad are done by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons, as well as foreign legal persons have the right, like the citizens and legal entities of the Republic of Moldova, to address to the consular offices and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova for notary acts.

Embassy authenticates powers of attorney, by which a person can authorize another person to represent its interests for the performance of some legal actions.

For the authentication of a power of attorney, citizens have to come in person to the Embassy and present the following documents:

The power of attorney shall be signed personally by the applicant at the Embassy in the presence of the consul.
