Partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the State of North Carolina
In the framework of its relations with the USA, the Republic of Moldova has developed with North Carolina a Partnership for Peace program based upon an agreement to facilitate cooperation in the areas of civil emergency operations, expansion of markets, cultural, scientific and academic exchanges, and the coordination of humanitarian efforts of many governmental and non-governmental organizations. The Republic of Moldova and the State of North Carolina formally launched their Partnership on April 22, 1999.
In conformity with the Memorandum of principles and procedures between the Republic of Moldova and the State of North Carolina (USA) concerning their desire to strengthen their good relations – signed in 2004 – a Bilateral Cooperation Committee between the Republic of Moldova and North Carolina was established. Till now 5 Committee’s meetings took place.
