Moldova’s Ambassador in Washington DC, Aureliu Ciocoi, met with two high-level officials of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) - Jonathan Brooks, Director of the Operations Department for Europe, Asia, Pacific and Latin America and Christopher Maloney, Director of the Policy Department for evaluation, selection, eligibility and performance of MCC.
During the meeting, the officials discussed the results and the impact of Moldova's efficient implementation of the Compact program, the long-term benefits of the project for the citizens of our country and the contribution of the Corporation to the priorities of the current Government.
US officials stressed the importance of ensuring the sustainability of investments made by the MCC in the Republic of Moldova, as well as the continuation of reforms initiated by the Government, which in the long run will achieve national development goals, ensure citizens' welfare and increase confidence among international donors.
