Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Tatiana Solomon attended the official reception hosted by the Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson on the occasion of the United States’ Independence Day

On July 4, in Washington, D.C., Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Tatiana Solomon, attended the State Department reception, hosted by the Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson and his wife on the occasion of the US Independence Day. The event brought together the heads of the diplomatic corps accredited to the federal capital and their immediate family members, about three hundred participants.

Tatiana Solomon, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Andrei Galbur, conveyed congratulations to the Secretary of State Rex Tillerson for the 241st anniversary of the United States’ Independence.

On the margins of the reception, T. Solomon had a brief discussion with Secretary Tillerson, during which she emphasized the good bilateral relations, mentioning the importance that the Government of the Republic of Moldova gives to deepening the existing cooperation.

State of Secretary Rex Tillerson underlined the US authorities’ willingness to further strengthen its relations with the Republic of Moldova, in particular following Moldova - US Strategic Dialogue meeting recently held in Chisinau.

Also, Secretary of State Tillerson welcomed the decision of his good friend, Congressman Pete Olson from Texas, to co-chair the Moldova Congressional Caucus that is to be re-established in the coming weeks.
