Meeting the participant from the Republic of Moldova in the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program

On 25th of October 2016, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the United States of America attended the festive event on the occasion of the national forum held in Washington D.C. of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellows of the 2016-2017 class. The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program is a Fulbright exchange activity, primarily funded by the U.S. Congress through the United States Department of State and administered by the Institute of International Education. The event was attended by representatives of U.S. academia, diplomatic missions and the United States Department of State.

This year, the Republic of Moldova is represented in the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program by Mrs. Oxana Draguta, one of 168 Fellows from 95 countries. Mrs Draguta folows the professional training course at the Pennsylvania State University, in the field of Educational Administration, Planning and Policy.

Since its launch in 1978, over 5,400 Fellows have participated in this prestigious program. Fellowships are awarded after a rigorous selection at national level and in the United States. The Humphrey Fellows are placed in groups and assigned to the participating universities. These programs are individually tailored and represent a combination of graduate-level courses, professional seminars, visits and internships in U.S. based organizations.
