Two teachers from the Republic of Moldova participate in TEA Program in the USA

On 14th of September, the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the United States of America was represented at the launching event of the 2016 edition of Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (TEA), a Program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State. The event was attended also by representatives of US academics, diplomatic missions and the US Department of State.

TEA Program is implemented by the nonprofit organization IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board) and provides professional development training to outstanding teachers from 53 countries and territories around the world.

This year, the Republic of Moldova is represented by two teachers of English: Olga Vascan (Theoretical Lyceum Ion Creanga, Cosnita, Dubasari district) and Igor Avram (Theoretical Lyceum Elimul Nou, Ialoveni). The Moldovan teachers participate in TEA trainings at the following US host universities: University of Nevada, Reno, and, respectively, Claremont Graduate University in California.
